Arrive into Scotland 17th September; EDINBURGH airport, where Paul McLean of mcleanscotland and our driver Dougie will be waiting to meet and greet you. Store all golf clubs and luggage aboard mini coach. We will not be able to check into our Turnberry hotel until after 2pm, so a city tour of Glasgow will be taken. Scotland’s largest city, we have ample time to stop for an early lunch in either a local pub or restaurant. Around 1pm we shall drive south to Turnberry, staying at the Westin Turnberry Resort Hotel. Time to relax and unwind, the remainder of the day is free. Perhaps enjoy an evening drink with your tour manager? The Westin Turnberry Resort, enjoys a spectacular coastal setting with breathtaking views of Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig and the Irish Sea. World-class golf on your doorstep but it’s not only the world’s best that can enjoy a round here. Guests benefit from preferential tee times on both the Ailsa and the superb championship course, the Kintyre.

Spend some time here before returning to St Andrews where free time is available for the remainder of the afternoon/evening. Why not visit the Old Course Hotel for a drink? Overnight at the Fairmont at St Andrews Bay

22 September. Today we head out to Letham Grange Old Course, tee off @ 11.20 widely acclaimed as one of the premier courses in Scotland. Known as “The Augusta of the North” set in the grounds of an old mansion house.  After the golf we shall return to St Andrews via Broughty Ferry. Once a quaint fishing town, still with it’s harbour, We dine privately with a drink or two, stay a wee bit longer and enjoy the local pub of Liz and Paul in the 'Ferry. 23 September. Mid morning we depart St Andrews for Edinburgh (above). Paul will accompany you to our private whisky club in Edinburgh, where a tasting has been arranged. Whilst you are enjoying a malt or three, we will forward your luggage to the hotel in Edinburgh to await your arrival. After the whisky tasting we will transfer you to the hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening. Our suggestion would be the Dome. Overnight at the Dalmahoy Marriott Hotel.

On our return to Edinburgh we will stop in Perth at a the Foundry Bar for a pub meal (included in the cost) with Paul, then mix with a couple of the locals and enjoy some more whisky and beer – the pub has a huge collection of both, before a final return to Edinburgh and  the Dalmahoy Marriott Hotel.

26 September A final day of golf. today it's Craigielaw (which in our opinion is better than Berwick), a top championship course. Overnight at the Dalmahoy Marriott Hotel, with a farewell dinner at the hotel.  WE HAVE PLACED OUR NAME IN THE OLD COURSE BALLOT FOR TODAY.
