mcleanscotland
touring company of Scotland bring you the Veterans and
pipe bands in Perth
Sunday
8th June 2008, A service and parade to mark the
Dedication of the 51st Highland Division Tapestry
and Final reunion of Highland Division Veterans.
This happened in Perth (where Paul lives, in fact
Paul took the pictures) one sunny Sunday, looking at
the photos you can see it was a nice day and you can
also see parts of Perth, parading along the High
Street and at the North Inch for the service
(outdoor). Perth is also the home of the famous
Black Watch where if you visit us here, you can see
the fantastic Black Watch museum. Paul's note;
"apart from the whole parade marching past my hoose,
I followed them along the High Street and to the
North Inch". Hope you like these ...
Perth is the
home of the Black Watch and often we see the
Regiment parading through Perth. This
particular parade was to mark a special
event and not only were the "Watch" here,
but other regiments were represented and
many Veterans, proud and straight they
marched along the High street, taking the
salute at the City Offices.
For those of you
travelling here to Scotland with us, if you
are lucky you too will see the bands and
tartans parading through the town.
As you can easily see;
a brilliant sunny day to mark the occasion,
in fact; it never rains in Perth, ever!
