13 JUNE; arrive into Glasgow, where you collect your rental car. From here driving north via Loch Lomond, Glencoe and Ballachulish, with plenty of superb sightseeing stops. Overnight in Fort William.

14 June; day trip includes Eilean Donan castle and the Isle of Skye. Easy in a day and many stops. Overnight Fort William.

15 June; driving east along the great glen, Loch Ness, Fort Augustus, Urquhart castle to Inverness, overlooking the River Ness.

16 June; options; north to Viking country, great scenery and castles, or east into whisky country and more castles! Minutes away -Culloden battlefield and historic Clava Cairns. Overnight Inverness.

  

17 June; drive down to Edinburgh stopping as often as you wish; Pitlochry, distilleries etc, castles, or Perth. Perth is an hour from Edinburgh, and should you wish, save driving into Edinburgh, drop car here and take train remainder of the way. Staying in the city centre in the New Town, which is 18 century Georgian, near all pubs, restaurants etc for dining out.

18 June; explore Edinburgh, so much to see and do. Final night in Scotland here in Edinburgh. Let us spoil you as we place you in one of our favourite accommodations; its not a hotel, not a guesthouse and not apartments, but you will find it exceptional, full of history, has a nice wee bar, the dining room is excellent and is located in the Georgian New Town. Your final night in Scotland!
