McLean Scotland offer flexible Scottish car
rentals with a choice of pick up and drop off
locations.
We also give you tour notes and excellent road maps
for the duration of your tour here. All rentals are
inclusive of insurance (damage waiver) third party,
tax, breakdown and recovery service. Cars shown will
not always be available but similar size and
standard are always available. Manual and AUTOMATIC
shift available. Vehicles Available: Economy
small car to a large executive car. 9 seater mini
bus. With locations at most airports and
cities in Scotland, if you require a vehicle

provided for hirers
The price of a rental is
inclusive of renters insurance. Whilst an excess
charge will apply in the event of vehicle damage,
collision damage waiver is available – CDW
available as an extra at point of collection.

Cover would default if the
necessary security precautions were not
implemented i.e. if the keys were left in the
ignition or the radio front was left in the
vehicle.
The excess for cars is £500.
The excess for vans is £500.
Drivers under 23 will be subject
to a Young Drivers charge of £10 per day
(payable on arrival at the pick up branch).
We reserve the right to increase
the excess with each incident.

personal injury or loss of life (his own
insurance would have to cover this.)
Insurance Requirements
All drivers must hold and produce
a full category British Driving Licence for the
type of vehicle hired and proof of their
address. If a new style British driving licence
is held, both parts must be shown.
Overseas visitors must
produce a valid Domestic Licence and/or
International Driving Permit and valid passport.
UK visitors must produce proof of
address, e.g. utility account or bank statement.
Licence/Permit must be valid for
the current period of the rental and have been
held for a minimum of 12 months.
A licence may have a restriction
to the number of seats on a vehicle, which the
licence holder is entitled to drive. For most
European countries this is 8 plus driver.
Any penalty points should be
notified.
To hire a vehicle,
you must bring a valid drivers licence and proof of
your address (acceptable documents include utility
bills and bank or credit card statements issued
within the last 3 months).
Please note that drivers with a new style photocard
licence should bring both parts. Overseas
visitors must produce a valid domestic driving
licence accompanied by a passport.
