6 SEPTEMBER; all members of this group will be travelling individually into Edinburgh; we propose that all try and arrive in Edinburgh by 2pm at the latest at an agreed meeting point. We will meet the whole group at a designated location and transfer by luxury coach to Inverness – approx 3 hours from Edinburgh. There will be opportunity for stops along the way to enjoy the scenery; dinner will be awaiting us upon arrival at The New Drumossie Hotel, Inverness  Set in a listed art deco building, this Highland hotel is located 10 minutes from  Inverness. Positioned in 9 acres of manicured private grounds. A welcome Dinner this evening - Whisky Dinner, presented by Regis Whisky Mad

7 SEPTEMBER; after breakfast we will take a journey north to the Glen Of Tranquility “Glenmorangie” for a distillery tour and a small sampling of their golden nectar. Our day will also include a visit to Dunrobin castle, the largest house in the Highlands! Our day ends as we return to the hotel, dinner included in your second night in at Drummossie Hotel.

8 SEPTEMBER; We make a visit to Culloden Battlefield for a tour of this historical location and its museum just after breakfast. The journey will then continue eastbound, direction Speyside, the heart of whisky making in Scotland. There will be 2 distilleries to visit, Glenfiddich before lunch at the distillery, the Speyside Cooperage where we will be able to learn the importance of the Oak Cask in whisky maturation and The Glenlivet distillery, then the party will be driven to the Old Meldrum hotel, where dinner will once again be hosted by Regis and Paul.

9 SEPTEMBER; The day will start with the visit of one of Scotland newly reopened single malt whisky distillery, The GlenDronach. The rest of the day will be spent doing some local sightseeing at castles, standing stones and Pictish sites around the local country side. The evening will see us returning at Old Meldrum for dinner, a little taste of unusual whiskies will follow dinner, “the Michel Couvreur Range”. Again in the capable hands of Regis.

10 SEPTEMBER; Time to go south, direction Edinburgh! The journey south will take us to a very picturesque part of Scotland, “Perthshire” the party will be invited to visit Dewars World of whisky. Your Overnight stay will be in Edinburgh at the Bonham Hotel in the heart of the city.  Dinner is not included this evening but Paul will be happy making suggestions where to dine.

11 SEPTEMBER; We propose a little free time on your last day in Edinburgh, a tour of the Scotch Whisky Heritage centre just below the castle, a tour of the Castle or a visit of the many museums, galleries around the city. There is plenty more activities and I have no doubt something for every one. Lunch will be at your leisure and if you fancied a pie and a pint, there and many excellent traditional Scottish / Edinburgh pubs! We will meet all back at the Bonham for the Farewell dinner.

The tour as been designed to start and finish in Edinburgh, we have scheduled 2 nights per hotel to make the tour more enjoyable and less stressful, we also looked at not trying to squeeze too much within each days and making the journeys a short and pleasant as possible.
