Full Scottish Breakfast Every Morning, dinner each evening all
transfers. Meet and Greet at the Airport, your own

This tour package is based in
Inverness staying at Culloden House (shown
above) for 6 nights. At the time of the Jacobite
rising in 1745-46, Culloden House was requisitioned
by Bonnie Prince Charlie and used as his lodging and
battle headquarters prior to that fateful and final
battle on Culloden Moor on the 16th April
1746.Today, this handsome Palladian country house
stands in nearly 40 acres where guests are free to
wander about the elegant lawns and parkland to enjoy
the exceptional peace, tranquility and majesty of
the grounds.
The interior features a wonderfully
comfortable drawing-room with magnificent Adamesque
plasterwork, many fine antiques and a large open
fire.
Day 1
arrival at airport (Glasgow or Edinburgh) where we
meet you with a luxury coach. A scenic transfer to
Inverness, where you will stay at the wonderful
CULLODEN HOUSE HOTEL. Dinner this evening at the
hotel where the whole tour will be explained in more
detail.
Day 2
we transfer you to Royal Dornoch for a round of golf
at this famous course. The responsibility for
actually designing our Championship course fell to
the legendary Old Tom Morris who used the unique
links-land features to create a magical golfing
experience – one that prompted Tom Watson, five
times Open Champion, to say ‘it’s the most fun I’ve
ever had on a golf course’! Regularly ranked within
the top 15 best courses in the world. Return to your
hotel after some local sightseeing this afternoon.
Dinner this evening at the hotel.
Day 3
once again we take you for another round of Highland
golf, today it is Nairn.
This Traditional Scottish
Golf Links Course was created on the shores of the
Moray Firth from a Highland wilderness of whins and
heather, and tests the talents of professional and
amateur alike. Founded in 1887, it is now one of the
best courses in Scotland, and hosted the 199 Walker
Cup.
After the golf we will
proceed to the Glenfiddich Whisky distillery for a
tour and taste.
Return to your hotel after some local sightseeing
this afternoon. Dinner this evening at the hotel.
Day 4
today we transfer you to Old Moray for golf. The
old course is considered to be one of the finest
links courses in Scotland. A classic links designed
by Old Tom Morris with deep revetted bunkers,
undulating gorse lined fairways and smooth fast
greens. It is a superb test of golf with seven par
fours over 400 yards. Moray Golf Club is truly one
of Scotland's gems, a fitting tribute to the
artistry of Old Tom Morris and Henry Cotton and a
must for golfers visiting the area. Return to your
hotel after some local sightseeing this afternoon.
Dinner this evening at the hotel.
Day 5
this morning it is Nairn Dunbar we play. Situated
on the shores of the Moray Firth, the Nairn Dunbar
golf course, founded in 1899, is a highly rated
Scottish links championship course representing a
formidable challenge with its gorse and whin lined
fairways. Renowned for its excellent condition and
friendly reception to visitors, it was the chosen
venue in 1999 for the Northern Open Professional
Championship, the Scottish Ladies Amateur Stroke
Play and the Scottish Boys Stroke Play. In 2001 the
club hosted the Scottish Amateur Stroke Play
Championship (qualifying rounds) and in 2002 the
Seniors Home Internationals and the Scottish Open
Amateur Mixed Tournaments. The club are to be joint
hosts with the Nairn Golf Club to stage the Seniors
Open Amateur Championship in 2007. Depending on our
time available, we will also include sightseeing on
Loch Ness and at Urquhart Castle. Return to your
hotel after some local sightseeing this afternoon.
Dinner this evening at the hotel.
Day 6
one final round of golf, as we head to Tain.
The Championship length links enjoys
spectacular views over mountains and sea and
benefits from a sheltered climate, which allows
favourable golfing conditions for most of the year.
With the 3rd hole rated as one of the best 18 links
holes in Scotland and our 17th acknowledged as one
of the top 18 holes designed by Old Tom Morris, Tain
offers one of the finest settings and challenges for
a round of golf. After the golf we will enjoy a
visit to Glenmorangie Whisky Distillery for a tour
and of course, a dram! We return to the hotel for
dinner.
Day 7
we transfer you back to your departure airport. We
will arrange for an final night’s accommodation at a
hotel near to the airport with dinner included, your
final night in Scotland.
All sightseeing on the tour will be
decided by weather conditions and time available to
us after booking the tee times. Each day will be
filled with outstanding visits and scenery!

Day 1
we meet you at Edinburgh airport (Glasgow can also
be arranged). We board a luxury coach and transfer
to the Westin Spa Resort at Turnberry. Here we will
welcome you and talk through your tour whilst here
in Scotland. We will also give you each a welcome
pack including details of each course and location.
Dinner at your hotel.
The Westin Turnberry Resort, Scotland
enjoys a spectacular coastal setting with
breathtaking views of Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig and
the Irish Sea. Surrounded by Scotland’s most
beautiful scenery. Scene of some of the most
memorable moments in Open history, the Ailsa
championship course is a legend in the world game.
Watson, Norman, Price; they’ve all won golf’s most
coveted trophy here on the Turnberry links. And
another name will join them in the summer of 2009
when the Open returns to the Ailsa.
Day 2
This morning:
18 Holes at the Ailsa course,
Turnberry.
One of the finest courses in the world. Links golf
at the highest quality. Fine views to the west and
Ailsa Crag. 18 Holes, Par 70, 6976 Yards. Enjoy
your golf, we will return to the hotel afterwards by
coach. Depending on time of tees, we will also
provide some local sightseeing. Overnight with
dinner at Turnberry.
Day 3 Troon today
presents a stern test particularly the inward half.
18 Holes – Old Course, Royal Troon
with a light lunch.
It is widely accepted as the monster of any course
on the Championship rota. 18 Holes, Par 73, 6201
Yards. Again we will transfer you each way and some
local sightseeing available during the day.
Overnight with dinner at Turnberry.
Day 4
18 Holes – Old Prestwick.
Being home to Championship golf, as
it played host to the first 11 British Opens. It’s
dangerous layout and long holes makes it a true test
to any golfing ability.
18 Holes, Par 71, 6544 Yards. After your golf we
transfer to St Andrews and the Fairmont Hotel &
Spa.
Sitting on the summit of
a spectacular formation, the hotel and its
two stunning golf courses have breathtaking
panoramic views of the Eden estuary and the medieval
skyline of St Andrews.
Dinner awaits at the
hotel this evening.
Day 5
18 Holes – New or Jubilee Course.
This is a Championship Course more
than 100 years old and considered possibly as the
toughest of all the St Andrews Courses. 18 Holes,
Par 72, 6805 Yards. Full transfer to course and
return. Enjoy dinner at the hotel this evening.
Day 6 We travel north this morning up
the coast for
18 Holes at Carnoustie.
Carnoustie is regarded by many as the
toughest open venue. The Barry Burn winds it's way
through the course to increase it's difficulty. 18
Holes, Par 72, 6941 Yards. After golf here, we
board our coach and drive down the coast to a wee
town, Broughty Ferry. Here we will enjoy a
Traditional Scottish Pun for a few drinks before
taking dinner there also. Return to st Andrews
hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 7 We save the best till last
(maybe?) as we play
18 Holes at The Old Course, St
Andrews.
Famed worldwide as the “Home of Golf”. The Old
Course is where it all began around 1400 AD. It has
hosted 27 Open Championships. Max Handicap Men 24
Ladies 36. 18 Holes, Par 72, 6566 yards. We
transfer to an airport hotel this evening for your
final night in Scotland, including dinner.
Day 8 transfer to airport
for flight home.
All sightseeing on the tour will be

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER ONLY
Arrive into Glasgow International airport, your
group will be met by a mcleanscotland guide and
driver. Once all luggage has been stowed, we will
transfer you south, stopping at Ayr for a relaxing
break – at Burns Cottage no less! We continue south
and arrive at your hotel:
THE CALLY PALACE.
The warmth of the Scottish welcome will impress as
much as the opulence of the surroundings. The Cally
Palace dates back to 1763, when James Murray, owner
of the Cally Estate, chose the superb setting
overlooking the Galloway hills to build his country
mansion. Sympathetic renovations and refurbishment
under the personal supervision of the
McMillan (Hammy!)
family have restored the Cally to its former glory,
allowing guests to enjoy the ambience of a bygone
age. If you wish to stay at the North West Castle
Hotel, we can alter the itinerary to suit.
You stay at the Palace for
four nights, in this time you will
experience the curling and golf for which the hotel
(and the family ) is famous. We will arrange all
sporting activities on your behalf, working with you
in designing this tour, we will include all your

CURLING
will take place at the family’s other hotel: North
West Castle. North West Castle was the first hotel
in the world to have its own indoor curling rink.
From October to April it attracts curlers from all
over the globe.
GOLF:
the 18 hole parkland golf course. designed by the
well known golf architect Tom Macaulay, opened in
1994.
GOLF. The
course is for the exclusive use of guests
and the welcoming atmosphere will guarantee a
relaxing but challenging round. No members, no
competitions, just exclusively yours to enjoy!
Sculpted into the parkland surrounding the hotel,
its maturity belies its age, achieved by using the
natural contours of the land and the magnificent
trees, the hidden burns and the Lake. Golf buggies
are available for hire, and there's also a practice

DAY FIVE: we
again meet up with our coach and guide for the
transfer to
EDINBURGH. Above right.
We drive through the stunning scenery
of Dumfries and Galloway and through the Pentland
Hills to reach our capital City. Check into your
hotel and relax this evening. Your city centre hotel
is warm and welcoming! The hotel is unique among
most Edinburgh hotels accommodation as it offers
exceptional standards of quality and service with
the individual character and style of an
independently owned Edinburgh hotel. The hotel
offers comfortable, spacious accommodation
overlooking a park, close to Edinburgh Castle and
the city.
DAY SIX
we start
the day with a city tour by coach, showing you what
this fantastic city has to offer. See the castle,
the Royal Mile, the shops, the pubs (and there are
many of them) history and modern day combine to
bring you the best of our Scottish culture. The
remainder of the day is free.
DAY SEVEN
a round of golf anyone? Play Gullane No.1 - a
magnificent course used for British Open qualifying,
typical windy conditions to be experienced on this
Scottish links. We transfer you both there and
returning later, for those wishing to stay in the
city we will give many suggestions as to what to see
and do. Overnight Edinburgh.
DAY EIGHT
Play the famous North Berwick Links Course., steeped
in history and used for national tournaments. Once
again we will take care of all the transfers.
Overnight Edinburgh.
DAY NINE
– WE
TRANSFER YOU BACK TO THE AIRPORT FOR YOUR FLIGHT
HOME. As with all mcleanscotland group tours, we can
also arrange for a longer stay with us, either
arrive early or stay late, all arrangements taken
care of.
