7 Night Whisky Tour of Scotland

A tour that anyone will find easy to follow, a self drive tour for beginners or experts, anyone with a liking for a dram will enjoy what we have designed here, encompassing many areas and many whiskies. It can also be a guided and driver tour and any groups very welcome also.

day one; arriving either at Glasgow or Edinburgh, once you have your car (we can arrange this if you have not got one already) head for the west coast and the loch side town of Inveraray. A superb family owned hotel and great whisky with superb bedrooms, what a combination! Loch Fyne Whiskies are located in Inveraray, fantastic selection of malt & blend whisky!

day two; a day trip taking in the Oban distillery, take a tour and a dram! While here why not sample the seafood, Oban is Scotland's capital of seafood, justifiably so! From here to Loch Awe and a return to Oban, great scenery with lots to see en route, another night in Inveraray.

day three; moving on this morning to Glencoe, stunning scenery all the way to Fort William, where you can discover the Ben Nevis distillery. Then along Loch Ness to Inverness where you stay overnight.

day four; the largest selection of distilleries lies on your doorstep; Speyside. With more distilleries in this area than the rest of Scotland together, what a choice you have! Glenfiddich, Macallan, Glenlivet to name a few. After a whole day exploring whisky country, what better than a pub serving many whiskies and fine food? The Tavern Inn near the castle - run by Maclean's cannee be bad! Overnight Inverness.

day five; moving south now, along the main A9 route to Pitlochry, staying at a nice Victorian guest house in the heart of the town. Good food and drinks found all over this highland town, overnight Pitlochry.

day six; spend all day sightseeing and exploring any one (or more) of the 4 distilleries nearby; Edradour, Bells, Dewar's and Famous Grouse. All within easy drive, in fact two of them are in town! Overnight Pitlochry, your final night in the highlands.

day seven; the final day of the tour, approx an hour and a half drive to Edinburgh, our capital. Overnight in one of a choice of accommodations; guest house or hotel.
