Arrive into Scotland at Glasgow airport, 21 July 2009, taking the air coach to Glasgow city and catch a train to Inverness. Here you stay in a lovely guest house overlooking the River Ness. A superb breakfast each morning and very nice en suite room whilst you stay here in the Capital of the Highlands. With so much to see and do; Culloden battlefield, Loch Ness, Urquhart castle, even a day trip by coach to Orkney is available (extra to costs shown). A one day rail pass which can take you to the Kyle of Lochalsh where its only a short distance to Eilean Donan castle.

24 - 26 July; the train to Edinburgh; 3 nights at The Best Western 3 Star Edinburgh City Hotel - just a few minutes from the city centre. The world famous Princes Street beneath the commanding Edinburgh Castle - an iconic city landmark high on its volcanic rock, the Royal Mile and the Grassmarket full of great pubs, are all a short walk away. Built in 1879, this privately owned hotel was once the original Memorial Hospital dedicated to Sir James Young Simpson, discoverer of Chloroform. 3 nights here on a bed and breakfast basis in a double, en suite private bathroom. As a part of your package you also receive a silver passport to the Gathering events.
